We operate from a minimum of 10,000ft. A higher altitude may be possible subject to the airspace above us controlled by London ATC, as we are under an airway into Gatwick.

From 10,000ft a freefall of 30 seconds is expected before the parachute opens. If we attain a higher exit altitude you may gain an additional 5 seconds for every 1,000ft higher.

Participants must be 16 or over to skydive in the UK. If between 16 and 18 years of age, they will also require parental consent. There is no upper age limit or height restrictions.

Yes. Participants must weigh less than 95Kg (15 stones) when they attend for the skydive. This is due to the limitations of the equipment, and your safety upon landing so please do not ask for any exceptions.

Participants must sign a declaration of fitness to skydive. In most cases a self-declaration is sufficient which is detailed on our downloads page. In the event an applicant feels unable to self declare, then a doctors consent version is required. Also available from our downloads page.

Yes. We only skydive in good weather. Therefore if the weather is not suitable, we would expect participants to wait for an improvement, or in exceptional circumstances re-schedule to another day. For this reason, we recommend booking early in our season to allow for any posiible re-schedule.

We have plenty of availability based on previous years demand, so we encourage you to book early. We take individual bookings up to 50 people a day. You are encouraged to book early with a deposit amount to secure your place.

We don’t offer refunds, however bookings are transferrable, so you may change the name or sell/transfer your jump to someone else.

We have to assess each case individually, but subject to your condition, and a doctors certificate, it may be possible. We encourage you to view the medical declaration and seek advice before booking or fundraising. Documents Page.

We schedule groups of arrivals throughout the day to allow for shorter waiting times. In any event we expect people to be available for up to four hours, however typically their experience should be completed within two hours.

It should go without saying that making a parachute jump is not entirely without risk. However, the tight controls which are implemented to maintain safety at all British Skydiving affiliated parachute centres, do so very effectively. You are required to sign an indemnity waiver, accepting the possible risks before you make your skydive.

You are only covered by British Skydiving 3rd party insurance whilst making your parachute jump. This covers any damage you may potentially do, to any other person or property during your skydive. Personal accident insurance is available online, from various companies, which can be found with an internet search & includes options for individual jumps, or annual cover.

Modern parachute equipment is now extremely reliable, however In the unlikely event that the main parachute fails to operate correctly, all equipment is fitted with an emergency backup parachute, which can then be deployed. If for any reason the Instructor does not open the parachute, an automatic activation device will initiate the parachute deployment at a safe altitude.

All our instructors are experienced skydivers trained on a British Skydiving Tandem Instructor programme. British Skydiving holds a very good safety record.

British Skydiving governs British sport parachuting, they ensure that parachute centres operate with rules and regulations, and maintain a high standard of safety. All British Skydiving instructors have attended stringent courses to gain qualifications, and the necessary skills. You can see us listed and affiliated to them on their website.
